Scoring: Each section of the ACT is scored on a scale of 1 to 36. The scores from the four sections are averaged to calculate the composite score, which also ranges from 1 to 36. The Writing section is scored separately on a scale of 2 to 12.
Result Availability: ACT scores are typically available within two weeks after the test date.
Egyptian scholastic test (EST)
Egyptian scholastic test (EST):
Format: The Egyptian scholastic test (EST) consists of two sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) and Math. There is also an optional Essay section.
Content: The EBRW section includes reading passages, grammar, and writing questions. The Math section covers algebra, problem-solving, data analysis, and advanced math topics. The Essay section requires analyzing a provided text.
Time: Egyptian scholastic test (EST) (without Essay) takes approximately 3 hours. With the optional Essay section, it takes approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes.
Scoring: The EBRW and Math sections of the Egyptian scholastic test (EST) are scored on a scale of 200 to 800, with a total possible score of 1600. The Essay section is scored separately on a scale of 6 to 24.
Result Availability: Egyptian scholastic test (EST) scores are usually available within two to three weeks after the test date.
It’s important to note that both tests have optional writing sections, and some colleges may require or recommend taking these sections. Additionally, the ACT is more popular in the Midwest and southern regions of the United States, while the EST is more commonly taken In Egypt.
